Since 1999, Sara Hauber has empowered people
to change their minds, their bodies, and their lives for the better. She
does so with an unwavering belief in people's ability to grow and change,
and an irresistible energy that makes growth and change enjoyable!
"I reacquaint my clients to the fact that the world
is full of possibilities. Most adults have grown to believe that there
are physical obstacles blocking their path to success, when in reality
only a tiny percentage of obstacles are real. The rest can be overcome,
when you have the right tools. That's what I have experienced, and that's
what I teach," Sara says.
Sara was diagnosed with severe scoliosis early in her
life. She underwent major spinal fusion at age 17—a procedure that
left her with two 26-inch metal bars attached to her spine.
"Since that time, I figured out how to work with my body and manage my own health. Using my signature behavior-change methods,
I have been able to find great joy in my physical abilities despite what
looks like a horrible deformity. I might have some limitations, but I
am more satisfied and proud of my health and fitness than I could have
dreamed.
"As I tell my clients: If I can achieve a fit and healthy
body, with what appears to be a physical obstacle, so can you. My methods
really work."
During her graduate education, Sara studied how best
to motivate and support clients as they undertake long-term health behavior
change. Her passion and excitement for the inherent potential in everyone
truly make her an empowering, inspiring, and motivating mentor—just
what people need after being let down and frustrated by countless diet
plans and ridiculous workout fads that will never work.
"I see people in such confusion and pain, struggling
incessantly with diets that just won't help them in the long run. All
I want is the chance to help people see the reality that there is a step-by-step
method for making lasting healthy lifestyle changes, and that they CAN
do it. It might not be easy at first, but I know from experience that
it really does work."
